Ms Donna Rose TCRG

It is with the deepest regret that Comhdhail na Muinteoirí le Rincí Gaelacha learnt of the passing of one of its members, Ms Donna Rose TCRG.
Donna was a member of the London and Home Counties Branch of An Comhdháil and opened the Rose School of Irish Dancing in 1999. In that short time the school went from strength to strength with pupils attaining prizes at the All England, All Ireland and World Championships.
In 2003, the Rose School established the Clare Feis and it has been a very successful event in the Irish Dancing Calendar in the London area since.
Donna’s legacy will live on through the Rose School of Dancing. She will be sadly missed within An Comhdháil and the wider Irish Dancing Community and we would like to extend our condolences to the Rose and Heade families.
There will be a service on the 3rd May at 10am in St Elphege’s RC Church Wallington London SM6 9AY followed by burial at Sutton Cemetery SM3 9PX.
Go ndéanfaidh Dia trócaire ar a anam.

Ms Hazel Flanagan TCRG RIP

It is with the deepest regret that Comhdhail na Muinteoirí le Rincí Gaelacha learnt of the passing of one of its members, Ms Hazel Flanagan TCRG
Ms Flanagan was an iconic figure in the Irish Dancing world. She was a member of the South Leinster Branch of An Comhdhail, and as well as being an inspirational teacher she was also an honorary member of An Comhdhail.
Her legacy as a teacher was celebrated with the Flanagan School of Irish Dancing winning numerous All Ireland & International and Leinster Championship titles both in Solo and Figure Dancing. In addition Ms Flanagan and her dancing school toured extensively throughout Europe representing Ireland at numerous Folk Dance Festivals.
Ms Flanagan’s legacy will live on through the many past pupils she qualified as teachers and adjudicators within the organisation.
Ms Flanagan will be sadly missed within An Comhdhail and the wider Irish Dancing community and we would like to extend our condolences to the Flanagan and Darling Families.
Go ndéanfaidh Dia trócaire ar a anam.
