| Saturday,
26th March 2005 (00:30am) |
Day 4 of this year’s All
Ireland Championships was the busiest day with
10 new Champions crowned (both individual &
team competitions). As usual all the results are
available above. As the solo championships came
to a completion today in the Theatre Hall at the
Helix in the late hours of Saturday night, it
meant that earlier in the day over in the O’Mahony
Hall, the commencement of the always entertaining
& exciting figure championships got underway
with the Unmixed Invention U/16 Championship.
Many look forward to this part of the week and
although it can prove to be a nervous & anxious
time for both teachers & dancers alike, it
is a fantastic spectacle for the ‘neutral’
spectator and today proved to be no different!!
Tomorrow (Sunday) concentrates
the championships in just the O’Mahony Hall
and with the final 5 figure championships up for
grabs the crowds & excitement on Easter Sunday
at the All Irelands is sure to live up to it’s
usual final day finale. The bad news is that there’s
an hours less sleep for everyone tonight with
the clocks moving forward for summertime but the
good news is that the final day has the nice start
time of mid morning before the last hurrah of
this years All Ireland Championships……… |
