An Comhdhails most prestegious
event, the All Ireland & International Dancing
Championships were a wonderful success. The dancers
waited with abated breath whilst the computer
graphics program anounced the arrival of the final
result for each competition.
Our main sponsor, the Irish Dancing
Magazine, excelled themselves by publishing a
most spectular programme in full colour. On Tuesday
night a wine and buffet reception was held for
all the Teachers, which added to the social aspect
of the Championships, sponsored by the Dublin
Branch of An Comhdhail.
At this reception, Lynch Hotels
made a surprise presentation as a token of their
apprection to An Comhdhail Officers for bringing
increased revenue to Ennis and the surrounding
areas. A welcoming reception was held on Wednesday
to meet the dancers and families who traveled
from the United States of America to take part
in this years Championships. This was a great
opportunity to relax, unwind and get to know each
other.
Celtic Online Jewelry sponsored
all the dancers prizes and provided beautiful
participation certificates for each competitor.
Siopa Rince kindly donated the first place winner
with a most magnificant tiara, as well as, sponsoring
one of our gold medals.
The Irish Chocolate company donated
"A Taste of Ireland" shamrock to the
2nd and 3rd place winners of all the Championships.
Ms Betty Bible, one of our one colleagues from
the Munster Region, sponsored the 2004 sash for
each Champion.
Everyone really enjoyed themselves
in Ennis, and are looking forward to next years
event, which is being held in the Helix, DCU,
Dublin. |
