Major Feiseanna

Photos from the 2004 Leinster Championships & the Gala Night can be seen here.

The Leinster Feis and Championships were held over two weekends. The first was in the Basketball Arena, and consisted of pre-open solos and figure competitions. The second weekend was held in the Helix, DCU. All the open solos and championships, along with the figure championships were held on the second weekend.

Both weekends ran extremely well to time and results were given out promptly. The weekend was brought to a close with a Gala Night held in the O'Mahony Hall, The Helix, DCU.The night was hosted and compared by Radio Star - Joe Duffy.

The evening started off with the Junior and Senior Freestyle competitions, followed by a parade of all the solo champions who won over the weekend. They were introduced individually with a short synopsis of their hobbies, interests and people they wished to thank, following which they performed a step about.

Each of the Officers of the Dublin Branch were brought on stage and presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for all their hard work. Afterwards a wine reception was held for all the dancing teachers.

Both weekends were a wonderful success and a credit to all involved. We congratulate the Comittee, the Officers, and the Dublin Chairman Mr. Colm Keogh, for holding such a marvelous event in such a prestegious venue, and for bringing the Leinster Championships to a higher level.

We are all looking forward to next years event.
