The 2008 All Ireland & International Dancing Championships will take place in the Lynch Breaffy International Resort, Castlebar, Co. Mayo from Tuesday March 18th to Monday March 24th 2008 (inclusive)

COUNTDOWN - '1 DAY REMAINING'

Everyone here in Castlebar is very busy getting things organised for tomorrows commencement day of the 2008
All Ireland & International Dancing Championships. Many dancers and their families have already started arriving.

The Main Competition Arena and the Breaffy Dome are more or less completed. The Audio Visuals have been set up
and tested and everything is starting to look great. The stall holders have arrived and have set up their stalls with all their
merchandise for the week.

For those of you attending, we trust that you will enjoy the week, and for those of you who unfortunately can't be with us this
year, can follow the week via our website and we hope that we will be able to provide you with a taste of the excitement and
and activities here at the Breaffy International Resort. Follow all the news, results, live commentary and much more as it happens here.

(as without it you won't gain access to the Compeition Hall)

Dancers - Make sure you don't forget to bring your Photographic Dancer ID and your Number.

COUNTDOWN - '3 DAYS REMAINING'

Please remind all competitors that they must be appropriately attired when in any public area of the hotel.

The Breaffy International Resort and An Comhdhail reserve the right of admission. Anyone found causing damage to
Hotel property or misbehaving in any way will be asked to leave the premises and re-entry will be denied.

We would like to thank the management and staff of the Breaffy International Resort for all their help in preparing
for this years Championships and we are sure that you will all be extremely impressed with this years venue when you arrive.

COUNTDOWN - '4 DAYS REMAINING'

The Doors of the Competition Hall will open at 7.30am every day. Competitions will commence at 8.00am
On Tuesday 18th March, the doors of the Compeition Hall will open at 7.30am and will close again at 8.20am to facilitate the
Opening Ceremony which will commence at 8.30am. The doors will remain closed for the duration of the Opening Ceremony and
will reopen at 8.50am for the first competition which will commence at 9.15am.

Extra FREE Car Parks have been arranged by the Breaffy International Resort. Pleaes follow the instructions of the car park
attendents on duty. Please Note: All cars are parked at owners risk.

At this stage preparations for the event are coming along nicely. The stage and the seating in the Main Competition Hall has been errected
and work on the Breaffy Dome is well on the way. Some of the Officers are in Castlebar at present while such work is in progress. Whilst
other Officers are busy doing their final preparations at home, making sure that all the prizes, paper work, computers, results
programmes, official programme, stalls and merchandise etc are all in order.

I am sure all Teachers and Dancers are busy themselves doing those final practices too. Keep up the hard work as it will soon be upon
us all. ONLY 4 DAYS TO GO!!!!

COUNTDOWN - '5 DAYS REMAINING'

This year Lynch Hotels and An Comhdhail have decided to provide extra facilities during the week of the All Ireland Championships.
There will be a Creche for 2 - 5 year olds located on the Breaffy Resort Map at No. 6 in the Kingfisher Leisure Club. Opening hours will be
10.00am - 2.00pm and 6.00pm - 10.00pm daily. The rates are €3 per child per hour and bookings must be made through the Front Desk.

A hairdressing facility will be available in the Escape Spa located at No. 3 on the Breaffy Resort Map. Contact Marian Fitzgerald on
094-9044160 to book an appointment. The Escape Spa has all the latest treatments including a Sabbia Med/Man-made Beach and a
Rasui mud/stream exfoliation chamber.

The Kingfisher Leisure Club contains 3 swimming pools, a Steam Room, Sauna, Whirlpool, Gym and Dance Studio.

Tthere will be a Childrens Disco every evening in the Paul Costello Suite located at No. 11 on the Breaffy Map and nightly entertainment
in the Breaffy Suite located at No. 7. So after the days competitions are over you will be well catered for as regards evening entertainment.

Admission charges for the All Ireland & International Dancing Championships 2008 are as follows:

All Dancers must be in possession of their Dancer ID from Photomagic.

PLEASE NOTE:

ALL Teachers must have their New Teacher Photographic ID which was issued to them with their copy
of the 2008 Official Teachers List.

Official Programmes for the event will be on sale for a fee of €10.

There will be a number of stall holders selling dancing accessories and All Ireland 2008 merchandise. These will be located at
No. 15 on the Breaffy Resort Map.

COUNTDOWN - '7 DAYS REMAINING'

The All Ireland & International Dancing Championships 2008 will commence on Tuesday 18th March. All those involved
in the preparations for our premier event are very busy this week making sure that everything is in order for next week.

Breaffy House Hotel and the Breaffy International Sports Hotel are set in a beautiful resort which covers over 90 acres of land.
Both hotels are on the same grounds. From the map below you will notice No. 14 is the Main Competition Arena where all the Championships will take place and No. 17 is the Competition Dome in which the Recall Set Dances will be held.

Perhaps during your stay you might plan on visiting some of the near by tourist attractions which include Westport, Connemara
National Park, the Musuem of Country Life and Knock Shrine. The Breaffy House Resort is located 4km outside Castlebar on the
N60 travelling towards Claremorris, Tuam and Galway. The hotel is located 40 minutes from Knock International Airport and there is
also a heli-pad available for those who wish to arrive on time and in style!

Breaffy House Hotel and Spa, Directions

From Galway:
Take the N17 via Tuam to Claremorris and the N60 from Claremorris to Castlebar; the Breaffy House Resort is on the lefthand side
as you approach Castlebar. Alternatively, take the N84 via Ballinrobe to Castlebar and the N60 Claremorris Road out of Castlebar;
the Breaffy House Resort is on the righthand side as you leave Castlebar.

From
Knock:
Take the N17 to Claremorris and the N60 from Claremorris to Castlebar; the Breaffy House Resort is on the lefthand side as you
approach Castlebar.

From Dublin:
Take the N5 via Swinford to Castlebar and the N60 Claremorris Road out of Castlebar;
the Breaffy House Resort is on the righthand side as you leave Castlebar.
